I set up PAN in 2011 as there was no local support for myself or my son who was diagnosed with ADHD at 6 years old. Being a part of PAN has taught me so much, I wouldn’t have got through the last 10 years without my PAN family! My favourite things are my children and chocolate (not necessarily in that order!).

I have experience as a Teaching Assistant working within the SEN department of a secondary school. I have spent a number of years as a school governor and Chair of Governors where my specific responsibilities related to Safeguarding and SEN provision. This gave me experience of working with a number of agencies relating to SEN and education.
I have lived with my family in Great Longstone for nearly 20 years. I enjoy walking with my dog, travelling as often and as far as possible. D.I.Y. and always looking for the next project.

I’m a mum to four children with additional needs and one stepdaughter.
I joined PAN many years ago for support as having a child/children with additional needs can be very challenging and lonely But we all support and empower each other here.

I have been volunteering at PAN for a year now after using their support services myself. I have three children two who are diagnosed with additional needs and one who is currently being assessed.
I enjoy running, walking and reading should I get any spare time!
I work at Alderwasley Hall School as a learning support worker and have a vast knowledge of working with young people with additional needs.

I have previously worked as a Residential Support Worker / Senior Residential Support Worker at Alderwasley Hall School before joining the SSSEN Team at Derbyshire County Council.
I have three children who enjoy keeping me on the go! I enjoy football, climbing & reading.

Previously I have worked in The Early Years sector as a Nursery Practitioner and SENCO for over 20 years. I love being able to support parents who are often going through a tough time with their child/children who either have an SEN diagnosis or are going through the process of getting one. At PAN we are here to support, Listen & signpost. Our groups are very welcoming and friendly and are amongst people who understand how difficult daily life can be when you have a child who requires additional support at home and school. I understand from a parents perspective how difficult advocating for your child can be. PAN is an amazing group of people who are here to help and support each other and I have made some life long friends over the past few years and I’m sure along the way I will make many more.
